Remote desktop full screen mode not going full screen

I know this post is super old, but if anyone out there still hasn't figured out how to solve this...When all else fails, LOWER YOUR SCREEN RESOLUTION, but not too much.. (in your computer, not RD settings) Test it out and see which one will do the trick. It worked for me after trying everything else out there!! I hope this helps someone!
